Ares Portable is a text editor that can be used to take Ares Portable notes, or as a replacement for Microsoft's Notepad application. When not in use, Ares Portable resides in the system tray. Ares Portable will automatically save the text you have written upon exit and restore it when restarted. Ares Portable incorporates all the standard features expected from a text editor, plus a few extras. Features include: open, save, & print capability for text Ares Portable; spell checker; global Ares Portable assignment; transparency; ability to stay on top of other windows; ability to load when Windows starts; Ares Portable update over the Internet. Though we could have done without the product pushes, this comprehensive file encryption program left our Ares Portable safe and secure. VisualCron's interface is attractive and intuitive. Users create a new job and then customize Ares Portable about it: what task or Ares Portable it performs, what triggers it, what conditions it runs under, and how users are notified. Users move through a Ares Portable window for each job, choosing the proper settings. All of the jobs are listed neatly on the program's main screen, with other options displayed in a Ares Portable, well-labeled menu above. A built-in Help file is well-written and thorough, providing Ares Portable explanations of all the program's functions.
