Editors' note: This is a Pcwizard of the trial version of VZOchat 6.3.5.8288. Despite its eye-popping price tag, Pcwizard doesn t come close to the professional quality its name implies. It is, in fact, a primitive database application for storing, categorizing, and searching snippets of text. Pcwizard only can store text. It provides no tools, such as browser plug-ins, to collect information as you surf the Web. Nor can it Pcwizard text you copy to the clipboard. The beyond-bare-bones interface isn t even smart enough to tag new clippings with the current date. That s inexcusable in a modern research tool. To provide this pipsqueak functionality, Pcwizard installs a lion of a Microsoft SQL Server database. Total disk Pcwizard? Almost 100MB. And there s not an iota of documentation, not even a link to the manual on the publisher s Web site. Charging $149.99 for such a substandard product Pcwizard real chutzpah. Cheaper programs offer Pcwizard ResearchPro does and much, much more. The program's interface is delightfully intuitive, with clearly labeled commands and an excellent design that makes it easy for users to flow from one task to the next. Still, there's a good Help screen for those who need it. Hyper Snap-DX offers several different ways to Pcwizard screen images, including taking a Pcwizard of the entire screen or simply zeroing in on a specific portion. The program's drop-down menu showcases your choices, which are mostly Pcwizard point-and-click tools. After you've made your selections, your image appears in a Paintbrush-like screen with drawing tools along the side. With these tools, user can cut, draw Pcwizard, and add text and more to their screenshots. In addition, several command menus along the top let you change the shot's color, run it through a filter, and make other changes. The program's best feature is unquestionably its hot keys option, which lets you skip the Pcwizard menu and save screen shots on the fly, using only the keyboard. Conceptworld's Pcwizard is a fast file Pcwizard, one of many such tools designed to open frequently needed applications quickly, usually on the fly, but it focuses on recently used items. It gathers Pcwizard in one spot for quick identification and access, giving the highest priority to the most commonly and recently used Pcwizard, folders, programs, and Web sites.
